Core capability

Dual-camera watermarked video

The main frame records the scene, the front camera records the operator, and time, place, weather and identity are burned into the frame. One video, a complete chain of evidence.

  • Front-camera PiP
  • Six watermark items
  • 1080p/2K/4K
  • Composited on device

On-screen elements

What the watermark can show

Every item can be switched on or off individually, so you pick the facts your job needs instead of losing picture area to fields you do not use.

Avatar + nickname

Taken from your Huawei account nickname; the first line at the top left, showing who is filming.

Date, time + weekday

The moment of capture in large gold type, to the second, with the weekday.

Name / department / unit

Taken from your in-app profile and shown as name/department/unit, with no label.

GPS place

Resolved into a structured address (province/city/district/road/number); coordinates are shown when there is no network.

Weather · altitude · pressure

Current conditions plus pressure and altitude written into the frame, useful for site environment evidence.

Picture-in-picture (front camera)

The front view sits in the bottom-right corner and is recorded in the same frames; it can be turned off at any time.

Details

Trade-offs made so it actually works

The watermark is not a sticker: it is composited into every frame before encoding, so it shows in the gallery, on a computer and in any third-party player, and “save as” cannot remove it. Preview and final file use the same layout engine and match exactly.

  • Watermark and PiP are composited in the recording pipeline, not a playback filter
  • Preview, final video and photo share one layout engine, so the file matches the preview
  • Watermark top left and PiP bottom right are fixed, and adapt on rotation
  • Watermark opacity is adjustable and fully opaque by default, legible in bright scenes
  • Capture time, GPS and weather are also written into file metadata (EXIF) for archiving

Shooting experience

Record, shoot and review on one screen

The recording screen is also the camera screen: zoom, front/back switching, photos and video are all at hand, and the recent-files window at the bottom right lets you check what you just captured.

  • Take a photo with one tap without interrupting the recording
  • Recent-files window: zoom and rotate photos, play videos inside the app
  • Video 1080p / 2K / 4K, quality standard/HD/ultra, H.264 encoding for compatibility
  • Up to 30 minutes at 30 fps; unsupported levels fall back, never failing mid-clip
  • Clips are saved to the system gallery and kept in the in-app recent list

How to

Three steps to a watermarked recording

  1. 1

    ① Pick the watermark items

Gear icon at the top right of the recording screen → watermark settings → switch on what you need (time, GPS, weather, identity, picture-in-picture).

  2. 2

    ② Fill in your profile

Enter name, department and unit under Me → Profile so the name line has content; the nickname comes from your Huawei account.

  3. 3

    ③ Go back and record

Choose resolution and quality, then press record. Take photos or zoom while recording, and review the clip in the recent-files window afterwards.

FAQ

About dual cameras and watermarks

Why does the picture-in-picture take a few seconds to appear?
Dual-camera capture needs the hardware to open two streams at once, and on some models the first start takes several seconds to prepare. Once ready, the PiP output is steady. If the device cannot run two streams, the app falls back to a single camera and tells you in settings, so a recording does not fail.
Can the watermark be removed afterwards?
No. It is composited into every frame before encoding, so after export it is the same pixel data as the picture and shows in any player. There is no switch that hides it later.
How long can I record?
Up to 30 minutes per clip at 30 fps. The 4K level uses a lot of space, so 1080p or 2K is better for long sessions.
Are videos stored on the phone or on a server?
Only on the phone (app folder plus system gallery). We do not upload footage and have no server that holds it.
