Privacy by design

No sign-up, no login: footage never leaves your phone

No phone number, no password. Videos and scans stay on the device, and we run no self-hosted business server, so there is no such thing as a user footage library.

  • No sign-up, no login
  • No self-hosted server
  • Minimal permissions
  • Network only after consent

Five design principles

Privacy is structure, not a settings toggle

No sign-up, no login

No phone number, no email registration, no password: open it and use it.

Footage stays on device

Videos, photos and scans are written to the local folder and system gallery, never uploaded.

No self-hosted business server

The cloud side is Huawei Cloud only (account, payment, cloud functions and DB) and holds no footage.

AI key encrypted locally

You enter the model endpoint and API key; it is stored on device with AES-256-GCM encryption.

Network only after consent

The privacy policy appears on first launch; configuration and Huawei account data are fetched only after you agree.

In plain terms

What data leaves the phone

All three cases where data goes online are listed here. Each is triggered by you, and none of them sends data to us.

  • AI chat, contracts, minutes go to your own model endpoint (may cross borders)
  • Weather watermark: coordinates go to the weather provider (QWeather) for live conditions
  • Membership check: your Huawei IAP receipt is verified by a Huawei cloud function

Beyond these three cases workso uploads nothing: no contact harvesting, no gallery upload, no behavioural tracking, no third-party analytics or ad SDKs.

Permissions

Permission list: every request maps to a visible feature

The app asks only for the permissions its features need, and all of them can be turned off in system settings at any time. Turning one off affects that feature only; the rest keep working.

  • Camera: recording, photos, scan framing
  • Microphone: video audio, meeting transcription
  • Location (including approximate): place in video watermarks and photos, local weather
  • Gallery (read/write): save clips to the system gallery, read recent files for preview
  • Contacts: for favourite recipients you add in Settings → Address book (kept on device)
  • Network: Huawei Cloud (account, payment, config), your own AI endpoint, weather

Compliance

Compliance documents you can check

  • The privacy policy lists the personal data collected and what is shared with third parties
  • The user agreement covers the service, AI content, subscriptions and refunds
  • The privacy rights page explains access, correction, deletion and consent withdrawal
  • Follows the system minors mode: in-app purchases are blocked with a notice
  • Me → Report and complain in the app reaches the reporting channel directly
